Union Hospital Terre Haute and Clinton
Named 2010 Most Wireless

nion Hospital’s Terre Haute and Clinton Hospital’s have been recognized as two of the nation’s MOST WIRELESS according to the results of the 2010 Most Wired Survey released today in the July issue of Hospitals & Health Networks magazine.

Hospitals understand the importance of health information technology (IT) and the benefits of its widespread adoption, yet as a field still face significant barriers to implementation according to a newly released survey of America's Most Wired hospitals and health systems. (read more.)

Union Hospital Named Hospital of Choice

On the north side of Terre Haute sits one of the most consumer-friendly hospitals in the United States as recently recognized by the American Alliance of Healthcare Providers (AAHCP).

Union Hospital was honored with an AAHCP Hospital of Choice Award for the winter quarter of 2009 in Category III (hospitals with more than 300 but less than 500 licensed beds). Only 25 hospitals across the nation received the award in this category, with Union Hospital being the only recipient in Indiana. (read more)

Union Hospital has been voted Best Hospital, Best Health Club, Best Place to Work and Best Daycare by the 2010 Tribune Star Readers' Choice Awards.

Union Hospital Takes Number 4 Spot

While Sharp Memorial Hospital came away as the 2010 winner, there was stiff competition from a number of other amazing hospitals. Union Hospital in Terre Haute Indiana took the number four spot.

Union Hospital made history with the single largest construction project in Terre Haute, its new $185 million, four-story, expansion and renovation project. The Union Hospital campus continues to grow with construction of the much anticipated 500,000 sq. ft. hospital expansion. Completion of the new building construction occurred in November 2009 and it opened in January 2010.

Union Hospital Named Consumer Choice Award Recipient

Terre Haute, IN- Union Hospital has been recognized by National Research Corporation (NRC) as the 2009/2010 Consumer Choice Award winner for the Terre Haute area. The award identifies hospitals that healthcare consumers have chosen as having the highest quality and image in over 300 markets throughout the United States. (read more.)

Union Hospital Recognized for Environmental Programs
through "Partnership Award"

Union Hospital was honored with a "Partner Recognition Award" by  Practice Greenhealth, a national membership organization for health care facilities committed to environmentally responsible operations. The award is one of the organization's Environmental Excellence Awards given each year to honor outstanding environmental achievements in the health care sector. Union Hospital was the only Indiana Hospital to receive the honor.
